We had a fantastic experience with Blackenvoy Labradors. Sarah clearly loves her dogs, keeps them in tip top condition and cares very much about who her puppies go to when they leave. She can spot a puppy’s personality incredibly early on and unlike lots of other breeders, she picks the puppy to suit the potential owners rather than letting them choose “the cutest”. This has worked amazingly well for us. I told Sarah from the beginning that I wanted to train our puppy to be a therapy dog (I work with children with special needs) and she matched our puppy Zebedee to us, who she identified as one of the most clever and affectionate in the litter.
As we live quite far away, sarah did a few zoom calls with us so we could see our puppy and sent regular videos and texts to let us know how he was getting on. She also gave us lots of advice about all aspects of training, food, vaccinations etc.
Amazingly, when we picked Zeb up at 9 weeks, he was already weeing on command (Watching 9 puppies all simultaneously crouch and wee at the “be quick” command is a pretty special sight!), was happy in his crate and was able to go through the night without any accidents! This made life a lot easier when we got him home. Sarah gave us a a welcome pack with all of the necessary paperwork along with a few bags of tasty dog treats and even a piece of the rug that Zeb had been sleeping on to help him feel calm in his new bed.
Zeb is simply the most amazing puppy! He’s now nearly 5 months old (and already 19kg!) and is a very relaxed and super affectionate dog. He is brilliant off the lead and very polite to other dogs and puppies that we meet when we’re out and about. He also loves people and in particular kids, so I have no doubt he’ll be a fantastic therapy dog in the future. We can’t thank Sarah enough for choosing him for us and are definitely planning on getting another Blackenvoy puppy in the next couple of years to be his playmate! I would highly recommend Blackenvoy Labradors to anyone thinking of getting a puppy. They are truly wonderful dogs.

I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough . She is so knowledgeable and was so happy to answer any queries or questions we had. I know I could still message her 2 years on if I needed any advice .
It was so lovely to be able to visit the puppies at 4 weeks .
We also felt so lucky that the puppies were so used to being in a crate from early on and were pretty well toilet trained over night thanks to Sarah’s input in the early weeks . We never had one “accident” overnight .
Poppy is now 2 years old and is such a lovely natured , loving dog . We get comments regularly from other dog owners as to how lovely ( and pretty! ) she is .
I cannot recommend Blackenvoy Labradors highly enough.

We have had the best experience, ever since first speaking to Sarah. We were regularly kept updated with the pups progress as well. At 4 weeks old, we met the pups and discussed with Sarah which pup would best fit our family, the pup that had chosen us, Sarah said was the ideal one for our family and lifestyle. She continued to send updates and photos of our pup to us and at 8 weeks, he came home toilet, whistle and crated trained which was fantastic, and he slept through the night. At just over 2 years old now, he has become an agility and assistance dog. He is showing great potential to start competing within agility and exceeding expectations when it comes to being an assistance dog. He has the kindest personality and loves people and children. He also gets on with all dogs and other animals. He fits in with all our adventures from the beach to dog shows to camping with over 150 other dogs at an event. We will definitely be getting more pups from Sarah in the future!

We were really excited to collect Harley, our puppy, from Sarah at eight weeks and was amazed to find that he was almost fully house trained!He has grown up to be a fabulous family pet but also trained, by Sarah, as a very competent gun dog. When working he is focused, intelligent and enthusiastic. As a family pet he is a loving and loyal companion.We cannot recommend Sarah highly enough both as a breeder and trainer. We were connected to Sarah in the Summer of 2020 by a mutual acquaintance who after learning of how exasperated we had become during our lengthy search for a male fox red thought that Sarah might just be exactly who we were looking for. And my goodness, he was absolutely right! During our search for a puppy we came across far too many poor quality pups and ruthless breeders who were only in it for the money. It was so refreshing then to speak to Sarah who was not only incredibly knowledgeable about all things canine but made it very clear from the start that the well-being of the puppy was her primary concern and that we would need to prove to her that we were the right family for one of her precious puppy babies.
Given the distance between us and Sarah (we’re based in Sussex and she’s in Cornwall), we had a number of phone and VC calls as we got to know Sarah a little better and she could get a feel about why we wanted a dog, what we hoped to do with the dog, what our home set up was, what we would do with the dog while out at work etc. She gives careful thought to how the puppies are allocated to a future owner so that each pup is paired with the right person so that both human and pup get the best out of each other. We were looking for a family dog who would want to get involved in everything and Sarah thought ‘Mr Purple’ from Chips first litter was who would suit us best. She got it spot on! Mr Purple joined our family and became ‘Tennyson’. 2 years on, he has grown into a handsome, kind and gentle dog who we can take literally anywhere – he just mucks in and always assumes that if we’re going out then he’s going out too! He is a super buddy for our 7 year old son and whilst Tennyson does still get a kick out of stealing our sons trainers and Lego, the pair of them adore each other and we continue to really enjoy watching their relationship develop as they each grow older.
Tennyson was our first dog as a family and it was so reassuring to know that I could call Sarah for guidance or support during the first few months. Even now, if I am unsure of something and Google is throwing up all sorts of (un)helpful suggestions, I’ll drop Sarah a message and she always has sound and sensible advice to offer. When we were on holiday in Cornwall last year we met up again with Sarah and her dogs which was so lovely.
The whole experience has been incredibly positive and we highly recommend Blackenvoy Labradors!
